I sit between the teams at RMI and our Retail Partners, ensuring that all commercial and operational functions work seamlessly. The role involves speaking to a variety of different stakeholders internally and externally, using my communication and negotiation skills combined with circa 15 years industry experience, to deliver the best results for all concerned. When I’m not working, my time is generally taken up helping to look after our three small children, but now and again I still manage to indulge my real passion, which is golf!
Favourite shopper marketing campaign?
I have worked on many campaigns during my career, but the one that always stands out was a Heineken Champion’s League campaign that I managed. The team at Heineken weren’t keen on radio advertising, but we convinced them that radio would be key to successful in-store communication and conversion, due to the iconic music that the tournament is associated with. The campaign was a big success, and a real validation of the benefits of consultative media planning, combined with strong working relationships.
What is your proudest moment working for RMI?
When we were appointed as Iceland's incumbent Retail Marketing partner as it was validation of many years of hard graft earning our stripes. We started from a blank canvas and helped evolve the opportunity into the market-leading proposition it is today.
What I enjoy most about my role?
There’s never a dull day, and each one comes with its own challenges. The satisfaction comes from developing strong working relationships, solving problems, and driving the business forward.
What is your favourite hobby?
It's golf!
